Come one, come all!

  • Guest Speaker: Einstein & Light with Robert Piccioni, Ph.D.
  • What's Up: Canis Major with Sandi Eastman

Meeting is at La Sierra University in E. E. Cossentine Hall. Don't miss the pre-meeting dinner at Coco's and Beginner's Corner. And, of course, the meeting includes a "What's Up" presentation by a club member and an exciting talk by a guest speaker.

GMARS

February 17-19 at GMARS in Landers

Join us at the Goat Mountain Astronomical Research Station for the monthly RAS star party. As usual, the party starts Friday night and ends with Sunday morning clean-up and departure. Not a member? Don't have a telescope? Both lame excuses! Come join us anyway!

IC405 by Walt Lickteig
Walt Lickteig brings us this image of IC405, the Flaming Star Nebula. Taken with his ST-4000XCM and William Optics 110mm refractor from Chino Hills, there's over 18 hours of exposure time in them pixels! Click the image for a larger version.
