Would you like to participate in any of the following special interest groups?

Beginner's Corner—This is a class for beginners and we discuss all aspects of amateur astronomy. It is held on an as-needed basis. But, you're in luck. Currently, we have a regular beginner's session prior to our monthly General Meeting. You can also attend any meeting or star party to learn more about amateur astronomy and the RAS. If you'd like, we can also teach you how to use your telescope.

Telescope & Mirror Making Group—We have members who can provide guidance in mirror making, building your own telescope, or making improvements to the telescope you already own. This group generally meets once a month.

Astro-Imaging Group—Members who participate in astro-imaging with various types of cameras and telescopes meet monthly at Notre Dame High School in Riverside. If you want to learn how to image the sky, or improve your imaging techniques, this is the group for you.

I want to receive the RAS's free, digital, monthly newsletter (Prime Focus).
