Site Development Donation
Pledge Form

In the year 2000, our organization acquired 5 acres of desert property located in Landers, CA, which was generously donated to the RAS. In 2001, we acquired another 5 acres of land with a residence located on the property (now called "GMARS"). We are now seeking funding for dark site development of this property. We expect the property to be used by all members for astronomical purposes, and will be open to the general public (invited guests, students, scout troops, etc.).

This dark sky site will also further enhance our Community Outreach Programs.

All donations received will be placed in a separate RAS account to be earmarked for specific site projects. Some of the first projects to be undertaken will be parking areas, grading for an expanded telescope field, power distribution, and future outlying buildings for restrooms and observatories.

All donations are tax deductible. The RAS is a California non-profit corporation, and has Charitable Organization status under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3),  Federal ID number 95-3801193.

All donations, regardless of amount, are greatly appreciated by the RAS.
