GMARS Site Development Fund

In 2001, the RAS acquired 5 acres of land with a residence. We affectionately call it GMARS (Goat Mountain Astronomical Research Station). The site gets a lot of use and requires a fair amount of maintenance from regular use, weather, and wear.

We are proud of the fact that we regularly open this facility to the public, which allows us to further our mission of public outreach and education.

All donations we receive that have been designated for the GMARS Site Development Fund will be placed in a separate RAS account and earmarked specifically for GMARS projects.

All donations are tax deductible. The RAS is a California non-profit corporation, and has Charitable Organization status under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3). Our Federal ID number is 95-3801193.

All donations, big, small, and in between, are greatly appreciated by the RAS.
