This workshop is held on Friday, September 25, the day before the Pacific Astronomy and Telescope Show (PATS--September 26-27) at the same convention center in Pasadena, California. We will have small sessions, with enough time for visiting with the presenters, asking questions, and so forth. Having divided the sessions into Affordable and Advanced, there will be something for everybody. Presenters include: |

REGISTER ONLINE: You may register online by going here. Prices go up after September 1, so register early! Riverside Astronomical Society members get a discount of $20, and if you are not a member yet, you may join for only $20. In addition, you can get discount tickets for PATS. (However, please request tickets for PATS ONLY if you are attending the workshops!!!) The final schedule will not be set until about September 1. However, we will have five hour long sessions spaced approximately an hour and fifteen minutes apart, and a break for lunch (on your own). The first presentation will start at 9:15, with the last ending about 4:30. You will be able to pick and choose among the presentations, but should be aware that we will have concurrent sessions--with the "Affordable" strand generally in one room, and the "Advanced" in another. Some of the sessions will be "hands on" workshops and you may want your laptop to follow along. Others will be simple presentations of the material. All will allow for questions, answers, and some discussion. These will be small groups, with attendance of about thirty people per session.
