• Remember, you don't have to be an RAS member, or own a telescope to attend our star parties. Member and club telescopes will be available for public viewing. There is never a cost involved when viewing the sky with the RAS. Our members and friends will be happy to show you the wonders of the universe—free of charge.
  
  
• If you are not a regular visitor to GMARS, it is highly recommended that you attempt to familiarize yourself with the location and site prior to arrival using this web site, maps, Google Earth, and other resources available to you. We also highly recommend that you do your best to arrive during daylight hours. If you've never been out to GMARS, locating the property can be difficult in the dark.
  
  
• When you arrive at the site it is critical that you stay on developed areas where the sand has been compacted. All other sand is very soft.
  
  
• The site has water and limited electricity. Parking is available for RVs, but there are NO HOOKUPS.
  
  
• Tent camping is permitted on the property.
  
  
• Driving time from Riverside is about 1.5 - 2 hours depending on traffic.
